THE DATING MENU

廚師發辦

With his restaurant barely staying afloat, a lovelorn cook turns to a dating app in search of Zelda, the girl who captured his heart years ago in a teenage chat room. Instead, he finds four women named Zelda, each with her own life, history, and disappointments. For each, he prepares a meal—part flirtation, part confession—as though the right dish might reconnect him with the person he once was, or the future that slipped away.

Directors Amos Why and Frankie Chung serve up a funny, tender Hong Kong romance about old flames, missed connections, and the peculiar comfort of refusing to move on. Woven through these encounters is an affectionate portrait of a city and its evolving food culture, where recipes preserve what time threatens to erase and cooking for someone becomes its own intimate language of memory, longing, and love.
