Set within the cramped bridal shops of Hong Kong’s Prince Edward district, MY PRINCE EDWARD follows Fong (Stephy Tang), a shop clerk drifting toward marriage with Edward, her boyfriend of seven years and the owner of a wedding photography studio. Their engagement should mark the beginning of a new chapter, but Fong is hiding a secret from her past: years earlier, she entered a sham marriage with a mainland Chinese man seeking a Hong Kong identity card so he could travel to the United States.
