US PREMIERE
LOMU
Jonah Lomu was rugby’s first global superstar—a once-in-a-generation athlete whose power, speed, and presence transformed the sport forever. Overcoming immense challenges, he became the youngest-ever All Black and rose to international fame, captivating audiences around the world while inspiring a generation of players and fans.
Ten years after his untimely passing, this intimate documentary revisits Lomu’s extraordinary life and legacy through the voices of those who knew him best. With exclusive access to his family, friends, and former teammates, the film looks beyond the sporting icon to reveal the man behind the legend—his triumphs, struggles, resilience, and enduring impact both on and off the field.
Co-directed by Vea Mafileo and Gavin FitzGerald, the film is a moving celebration of a Pacific sporting legend whose influence transcended rugby and whose story continues to resonate around the world.
