CHURA VITA

Surrounded by Okinawa’s luminous landscapes and embraced by the people she meets, Nico begins to understand that the wisdom she sought was never hidden in some distant secret. It lives in everyday acts of community, reverence for nature, and knowledge passed from one generation to the next. Her journey becomes a meditation on what we preserve, what we risk losing, and what it truly means to live fully.

From the makers of HAPPY SANDWICH, a HIFF 2023 selection, CHURA VITA is a soulful, visually transporting journey through Okinawa that celebrates an enduring way of life while contemplating its uncertain future in a rapidly changing world.

CHURA VITA
